work ethic

Privacy policy

Effective October 25, 2026

Work Ethic is a strength training log made by Vagrant Digital LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Work Ethic app for Android and iOS. The short version: Work Ethic has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and your workouts stay on your phone unless you choose to connect Strava.

What stays on your phone

Your workouts, exercises, weights, logged sets, history, personal records and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them. Uninstalling Work Ethic deletes them.

Strava (optional)

If you connect a Strava account, Work Ethic posts each workout you finish to Strava as an activity: the workout’s name, start time, duration and a list of the sets you logged. You sign in on Strava’s own page, and Work Ethic asks only for permission to upload activities and read activities others can see, so it can avoid posting the same workout twice.

Strava requires a secret key to sign you in that can’t safely live inside an app, so that one step passes through a small service we run. It forwards the sign-in to Strava and passes back the access tokens, and it stores nothing. Your tokens are then kept on your phone. Workouts go straight from your phone to Strava. You can disconnect in Work Ethic’s settings at any time. What Strava does with your activities is covered by Strava’s privacy policy.

Purchases

Work Ethic Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They handle your payment, and we never see your payment details. To check whether Pro is unlocked, Work Ethic uses RevenueCat, a purchase service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase receipt and basic device information such as the platform and app version. It doesn’t receive your name or email. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

What we don’t do

Children

Work Ethic isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Your choices

Strava is off unless you connect it, and you can disconnect it at any time. To ask us to delete the purchase record RevenueCat holds for your copy of Work Ethic, email us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above.
